About Us

TBS is an independent family-run, multi-award winning Bridal Shop established by Peggy Doherty, looking after local brides for almost 30 years. A bridal appointment with us is in a very private setting, and is one-to-one with one of our experienced Bridal

Consultants and we do not charge for appointments.

We will be your personal shopper to make your

shopping experience stress free.

We cater for a wide variety of styles, sizes and budgets.

They are not all shown online and images may vary from our sample size in store, so the best action is to book in with us.

Designer labels include Sottero and Midgley, Maggie Sottero, Sophia Tolli, Modeca, Demetrios/Cosmobella, Romantica of Devon, Enchanting by Mon Cheri, Richard Designs...

Sample Sizes range from size 6-30UK

We do not charge for daytime Bridal Appointments.

There is free parking right outside the shop and we are wheelchair accessible.

New exclusive Emily Grace and Chloe Belle range, designed by one of our favourite wedding dress designers Romantica Collections.

We have over 30 styles to choose from and have a 1 style per school policy, some dresses have already been booked out to certain schools.

CUT OFF DATES FOR ORDERING:

FOR APRIL DATES - Off the Peg Only

FOR MAY DATES - END NOVEMBER 2023

FOR JUNE DATES - END DECEMBER 2023

Delivery is currently end of March, and we would not order in a dress with a later delivery date than that for an April First Communion, in case any small alterations are needed, you need to allow time for a fitting also and in case of any slight delays, we will not take orders after these cut off dates.

As you begin your wedding planning journey, please remember that our bridal gowns can take 5-6 months to order in and you need to allow a couple of months for your fittings also.

There will be off the peg options and we can check if the companies have stock of whatever style and size you need if you are getting married sooner, but just in case you need to order, please allow yourself plenty of time. A year before is great. And the more time you have the merrier, your wedding dress shopping journey will be stress free.
